Dear Parents,
We have successfully completed our first quarter of school. I am so proud of our students for their hard work and determination during the first quarter. I am looking forward to an awesome second quarter.
I would like to thank all of the parents and especially the PTO for all of their hard work and dedication to our students and the success of the school. Please know that you are appreciated.
Please see below for a few reminders.
- The first 30 minutes of the EHR meeting will be open to parents to discuss concerns. It will be held at the school on Monday November 2, 2009 at 6:30 pm.
- Remember on Wednesday November 4, 2009 the students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm due to parent conferences.
- Parent conferences will be held on Wednesday November 4 from 1:30 until 6:00 pm. Please check with your child’s teacher for your schedule.
- We will have an awards assembly for the first quarter on Friday November 13 (Time to be announced). All parents are invited to attend.
- I am inviting all moms to attend a “Coffee with Moms” on Tuesday November 17, 2009 at 8:30 in the cafeteria.
- There will be an open gym for all DIS students as well as the community members on Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 in the school gym.
- Report cards will be sent home with the students on Friday October, 30, 2009.
- Please volunteer in your child’s class or throughout the school. We depend on your support.
