SCHOOL PROGRAM

ACADEMICS

Islam is the foundation of everything we do.  Students have morning assembly where Islamic lessons are given.  Islamic Studies, Quran, and Arabic are offered to help our students grow as Muslims.

Dhuhr and Jumu’ah prayers are a part of our schedule so our students can fulfill their religious obligations and learn the etiquettes of the prayer.  The students also give religious talks and khutbahs to prepare them to be active within the Muslim community.

We also have outreach programs where the students host students from other schools to tell them about Islam.

ISLAM

DIS has students from preschool to eighth grade who receive individual attention to meet their needs and are given opportunities for personal growth.

The use of technological tools such as iPads, SMART Boards, computers, LCD projectors and internet access ensures that DIS is amongst the frontrunners of not only Islamic schools but public schools as well for modern learning.

We encourage students to use their education and to apply real life applications when learning.  Our programs include but are not limited to:

  • A full-time Islamic Studies program
  • Quran Memorization
  • Arabic Language
  • Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies
  • Gym
  • Extracurricular Activities:  Boys and Girls Basketball, Student Council, and more!

These programs offer our students a well-rounded schedule that follows the Common Core and the Ohio Department of Education standards as well as an established curriculum for Islamic Studies, Quran, and Arabic.

We also work with the Beavercreek Public Schools to deliver the best education possible to our students.

LEADERSHIP

DIS has a student council where the students engage in activities to better the school and learn leadership skills.

Our students also compete in statewide events in subjects such as spelling, math, and science and have had made it to the state level in some of those competitions.  They have gone on to excel in high school and in college.
