The Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program was created to provide students from underperforming public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. The program provides up to 14,000 EdChoice scholarships to eligible students.Students currently attending a public school in the Dayton district that has been rated in Academic Emergency or Academic Watch for two of the past three years are eligible to apply. Public school students attending a school in their Dayton district that will be assigned to such a school in the upcoming school year are also eligible to apply. Students currently attending a charter/community school whose home school is an eligible school on the list are also eligible to apply. Students who are currently attending a private participating school such as The Dayton Islamic School or are home schooled are not eligible to apply.For more information, please visit the Ohio Department of Education website at and search for the EdChoice Program.
Families requesting financial assistance must submit their last year's tax returns in order to be considered for any assistance. Families requesting financial assistance are not guaranteed to receive any assistance but will be considered on a case by case basis.
Tuition and fees cover the cost of textbooks, instructional materials, staffing, as well as general operations.
10 installments due the 5th of each month starting in August and ending in June. After the 5th, a $25 late fee will be applied to the tuition amount for that month. No credits are given for sick days or vacation days. Contact for more information.
Annual Supply Fee: $100 per student due the first day of enrollment.
Application Fee: A one-time fee for new applicants = $25 (Non-refundable).
Amounts may be paid with a personal check, money orders or cash. Cash must be placed in an envelope with the family name and place in tuition box.
