Sr. Sophia has 9 years of teaching experience. She has taught phonics (LLI, 95%, and Engage New York) for grades K-2, and has also taught 2nd and 3rd grade. She most recently taught 2nd grade at Ruskin Elementary in Dayton Public Schools.

She has had many leadership experiences including Building Leadership Team (BLT), testing coordinator, cluster leader, technology coordinator, and much more.

She has her masters degree in Educational Leadership: Curriculum and Instruction. She has worked on various curriculum committees and district committees.

She is not only familiar with the education aspect, but has also been a member of the Dayton Muslim community for her whole life.
